Should I removed K3 board underlay

I removed old lino from bathroom, with K3 board as underlay. Can I put plywood on top of K3, then lay the floor tile ?
Please advise.

K3 is particleboard and not a suitable substrate for ceramic tile. You will need to install tile over 1/2" concrete underlayment board.

Pull out the particle board, replace with BCX plywood 1/2" thick, screwed to the original plywood layer then the cement board as stated above. BTW the cement board needs to be set in a bed of thinset to fill voids and airpockets then anchored with galvanized roofing nails or backerboard screws.

I have looked (a lot) for reviews on wet saws to cut tile. I was ready to purchase the MK370EXP, but then read reviews that it has some issues. Then I read some reviews that the cheapy $88 from HD works well. Basically I have three bathrooms to tile in my house, with the possibility of doing the laundry room and possible kitchen, all totaling over 500 sq. ft. I have no qualms about purchasing a good wet saw (~$300-500) if it is significantly better than a $100 one. Can anyone offer any advice on a good quality wet saw? Dear forum members: I am new to do it yourself. Please can some clue me in as to the best way to remove a ceramic tile floor that was install over a cement thinset mortar base. The mortar base was used to level the floor, but some of the tiles have cracked. It is possible that the subflooring was not well secured prior to putting down the mortar.
