I want to tile my Kitchen. Can anyone tell me the advantages and disadvantages to ceramic versus porceline?

The principle advantage of porcelain over ceramic tile is that porcelain is the same colour all the way through the tile, so that if you drop a knife or can of peas and chip the tile, the chip won't be as noticeable.
Porcelain tiles are also harder and usually more expensive than ceramic tiles. The hardness thing is a mute point, because you won't wear either one out in only one lifetime by just walking on it.
