Recently my ceramic tiles on my kitchen floor have begun to crack. Do I need to call in my contractor to replace them or can I do it myself. I have extra tiles. If I can replace them myself I will need directions. Thanks

You can replace them yourself but WHY DID THEY CRACK. If the floor is flexing this probably caused the tiles to crack. Ceramic tile has to have a sturdy base to sit on. If the floor flexes, fix this before you replace the tiles. Additional support may be needed under the subfloor.
You were smart to keep extra tiles. Take a chisel and pry your old tiles up. Clean up the adhesive under them and clean out the old grout around the damaged tiles. Get some thinset or mastic and apply it to the bottom of the new tiles and set them in place.Press them down and allow to dry overnight. Mix up some grout and apply it to the grout joints. Let it sit approx. 10 mins. and wipe up the excess. Let the grout dry overnight.
