What size metal extrusion?
I am installing floor tile that is 3/16" thick and i have two doorways that lead outside, that i need to butt the tile against with a metal extrusion. What size extrusion do i use? I bought 5/16" but i don't know if that is thick enough.
Also, i have to caulk around three walls where the tile meets the wall because there is no baseboard there. Do i caulk before grouting or is it the other way around? The cauking is clear because there is no matching color with the grout we bought. I am assuming caulk before grout but this is my first tiling job so every question must be asked.
Thanks for any info,
Pat

The 5/16' should work.
Put the caulk in first, let it set for a day then grout the rest of the floor. Sounds like you got good advice and followed to a "T". I'll bet the tile job looks good.
Post a picture if you get the chance.
