Pouring Concrete Flooring in Old House

Our house was built in 1906. We are going to remodel the kitchen. I am having a concrete counter top installed and would also like a concrete floor poured in the kitchen. My husband is not sure that the floors will support this. We have a cellar under part of the kitchen, crawl under most of the rest. Does anyone know if the joists can handle the load? The concrete would be poured 2" thickness.

Your best bet would be to get a structural engineer to examine the flooring supports, and calculate the weight to be over the supports and make a recommendation.
