ceramic with new patio door?
#1

I will be installing ceramic tile in the near future in or kitchen and was going to replace our sliding patio door with a single swing patio door and was wondering which would be better to do first the door or the floor(LOL) sorry had to laugh at that, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Door or Floor first - opinion only
I'm definitely not a professional, but we have recently been through a remodel. You may want to do the floor first to make sure you have the correct amount of clearance at the bottom of the door. They put our front door in before our floor and we ended up with a gap under the door and had to make several adjustments.

If there is any reframing on the sole plate for the new doors, do them first, the tile get's installed up to the new framing or door plate at the bottom, just figure where the door bottoms will be and the height of the tile, before hand if you think it will be a problem.
