Travertine trowel notch size?

Travertine trowel notch size?
We are laying 18 x 18 travertine tile in the kitchen and hallways. We have layed down the Scluter Ditra membrane.
What size notches in the trowel would be best for this size tile. 1/4 x 1/4 or 1/2 x 1/2 ???

Btw- thanks for the advice on the Scluter Ditra, it went down fairly easy and we think will make a huge difference.

I would choose the 1/2" x 1/2" notch for a big tile. You will use up more thinset but you will get better coverage under the tile.
