Slate Backsplash more sheen

Hi,
I have a slate backsplash which looks dull. I want to get more sheen on it. Most of the enhance & seal products say that it enhances the color with matte or low sheen. I am looking for more sheen. Please help!

Wall and Flooring Indoor Tiling
Going from hardwood to Ceramic Tile???

Ok, I am going to gut the kitchen/dining room/hallway. The kitchen currently has linoleum with two thick layers of subfloor under it(top layer is 3/4 particle board I think), and the dining room and hallway are hardwood. right now the floors are all level with each other. Should I pull up the particle board and put down 3/4" plywood? And do I have to rip up all the hardwood, then lay subfloor, or can I lay the tile on the hardwood?

I have a piece a cracked marble threshold, is it possible to repair it and remove the crack? if yes can you tell me what i need to do? thanks in advance
