Setting tile

In my new house I am remodeling my second bath. The shower stall is concrete and has been painted in epoxy paint. What, if anything, do I need to do to the surface before i set tile in the stall.

I would think removal of the paint would be needed or at least really really roughing it up. I could be wrong but I dont think the thinset will bond properly to the epoxy paint and being in a wet area you want maximum grip.

Is there any type of primer that I could use to prepair the surface? I'm not sure that I can remove the epoxy without something like a sandblaster.
