new shower

I'm in the process of installing a new basement bathroom and want to build a walk in shower....the basement is concrete (new and level) ....the shower is going to be all ceramic.....Plumbing is already roughed in....my question is how do I build the base of the shower with slope to the drain?...the shower stall is approx 3ft by 5.5ft...How much slope is required for the drain? can i build it out of 2 x 4's and backer board?.....any other suggestions? Thanks
