diamond blade for wet saw - continuous or segmented?

Going to be cutting a lot of porcelin floor tile soon. IS a continuous or segmented blade design better in a 7" wet saw? Will one last longer than the other?

thanks

Jarry.

The segmented blades for wet saws, at least the ones made by Alpha, are very aggressive and cut through the tile quickly but they chip the tile along the cut. A continuous rim blade made specific for cutting porcelain will do well and may even outlast the segmented one. A real good one that I personally use is the Raimondi Porcelain Razor sold at www.tiletools.com. It cuts clean, lasts long and wont break the bank.
