How do you tile kitchen backsplash?

I plan on tiling my kitchen backsplash using the sheets of small tile attached to mesh. I have never tiled before & would appreciate any advice as to the process. Right now the backsplash is covered with a paint/glaze technique. Thanks.

use mastic over paint and probably a 3/16 notch trowel. the mess sheets should not slide, so trowel the mastic on the wall then put up sheet. Use a level to plum and level, cut mess if hanging over last piece before appling. You can start at top and work down or bottom up, however it lays out better.

Get one of those cheap 80-90 dollar wet saws for tile from home depot or lowes. you will need one if you dont have it.

It might be a good area to check for any moisture back there before you tile. Even if its ok, put backerboard prior to installation, its waterpoof and offers great protection so you dont get any troubles down the road. Hope this helps

CBU isn't needed for backsplashes, also it's not waterproof, just moisture resistant.
