Shower Walls

Not sure if this is the best place for this but here goes. I've read all the posts about tiling a shower, 6 mil poly, backer board, modified thinset, etc. My question is, since the tile is only going about 5 ft up the wall above the tub, is there any suggestion for what material should be on the other 1 to 2 feet of wall above the tile? There is sheetrock there now. Is that enough, or should I replace it with something else? Thanks.

Moisture resistant (MR) drywall would be a much better choice. Commonly referred to as "greenboard".
