Floor Tiles on walls?

I was wondering if I could use floor tiles on walls. They are thicker and heavier. Any special considerations with thinset/glue? I have taken off the old laminate backsplash so the wall has some left over glue on it. I'm hoping I can just use thinset on that and it will hold the floor tiles I have.

Thanks for your help

Scrape what glue you can and then set the tile with any bagged modified thinset. Actually, ceramic (not stone or glass) tiles 8x8 or less can be set with mastic on a kitchen backsplash.

Tons of floor tiles lack available bullnose. Post back if you need exposed edge treatment options before you get started. Anything else just ask
