Cutting Hole in countertop

We just bought a vanity countertop from HD. I think they call it Silestone.
What we would like to do is drill a hole in next to faucet to install a soap dispenser.

Is there a special tool to do this so we don't end up cracking the top?

Thank you,
Marilyn

You would need a special drill with a water feed and a diamond coring bit, not the kind of things you will find in the tool section. Best bet is to take it to a fabricator and have them do it. HD installs granite tops, ask them for a name.
