Need Slate Floor Supplier
I am trying to find a supplier of dark grey or black (not multi-colored) slate flooring. Most slate is 12X12 or 16X16. I want a smaller multi sized square and rectangular slate tiles. Not sure how to find a supplier.
Is there a name for this style of slate flooring? It is hard for me to search for suppliers on the internet when I don't know the name of the pattern.

Betty,
You may be wanting to do a pattern known as a "pinwheel" or maybe a "hopscotch" or "cobblestone". They are all standard patterns in tile.
Any "real tile store" can find that stuff for you, don't expect any help from the Home Centers, they won't want to be bothered.

Thanks . . . that helped
Bud,
You helped me start finding websites that have similar patterns. Thanks so much.
Found this picture which isn't the slate but more the pattern that I am looking for. The slate I love was almost black and not multicolored. It was incredibly beautiful.

Good to know that I can go to a real tile company and show a few pictures of the pattern I am looking for.
Now if I can only find cheap slate.
