how to....

How do you keep the dust down when taking up cermic tile and thin set.i did take up of of my cermice but the dust is all over the place.

you can at least keep it confined to the room you're in by hanging plastic drop cloths over all open entries to the room.

I used some water on top of (or on the side of) the tile and thinset. Really helped but that's not to say I should've done that.

...and what Annette said and cover up the vents too!

i thought about suggesting keeping the dust in check by misting with a water bottle, but i'd think it would clump up & be even more difficult to clean/sweep up.......

remodeling is messy work. wear a mask!

Yes! Definitely messy and seemed like a total nightmare. It clumped a little, but it really beat having dust everywhere. By the time you're ready for a break or even done...depending on how much water you apply...it's dried up. Pick up the big pieces by hand and sweep the rest. Believe me, it was fun but much better than all that dust!

Ahhh...definitely, wear a mask

Thanks everybody for the help i tried a grinder all that did was left a big mess,so i went back to a good old hammer and floor scraper its takening it off and no mess,easy ckeanup good wasy to take some anger out on the floor.So now i have it all up,But just wanted to say thanks for all the help..
