Grout too low
Hello,
This is my first post. We have a large 30 x 50 quarry tile floor that when the volunteers put it down, they removed too much grout making it very hard to maintain.
Any ideas if I can reapply some grout that will adhere to the low grout without it chipping off? Any ideas at all besides removing all the grout because I don't have that kind of time. Even some kind of adhesive would be great or new product that is designed to make this repair easier.. Thanks!

I believe the rule of thumb is you want 2/3 the tile thickness of grout to be gone before you re-grout. You can get a manual grout saw, or a dremel tool will work too.
On the plus side, they could be 12x12 tiles, and you would have a lot more grout to scrape out.
I have not heard of any product like you describe. Maybe someone else has...

Thanks for the reply. The tiles are 6"x6". The room is 30'x50'. :-(
Per the rule of thumb, some of the area might be 2/3's gone because of how they cleaned up the grout after applying it.
I'll see how motivated I get if I need to removed the grout that is in that building.
