Tiling and Kitchen Appliances

I am getting ready to tile our kitchen and wondered if there is a need to tile under the appliances. The tile we are installing has some texture and isn't smooth. My thought is to tile up to the appliances rather than under them. Thoughts?

You're not giving us much info here. By appliances I assume your talking about a dishwasher, stove and maybe a refrigerator. Generally, its best if you can remove the appliances and tile the entire floor, then replace the appliances. The one thats always a concern is the dishwasher. You need to check to see if you'll have enough clearance after you tile to reinstall it. If not and you have to tile up to it, you want to make sure that you dont tile the dishwasher in so that it cant be repaired or replaced without damaging the floor or removing the countertop.
