Removing tile floor

I'm taking up tile in my kitchen and hallway. Whoever installed it seemed to use a fair amount of mastic. The thin layer of plywood that was put over the subfloor was secured using wood screws. I can get most of the screws out but certain ones are so loaded up with mastic they won't come out. Can someone provide tips to getting them out? Thanks!

If you are good with a circular saw, you can set the saw to the depth of that sub floor and cut it out.

Take a pry bar under that screw and pull it up when rest is out of the way.
