Tile Project Timing

Hi everyone,

I'm getting ready to tile our bathroom, and am hoping to get some advice from you guys before I tackle it. I've read all kinds of how-to's, but none really talk about how long you need to wait in between steps. So my questions are:

How long after I lay the backerboard in thin-set and tape the seams, can I start laying the tile? I assume the thin-set should be dry?

How long before I can walk on the tile after it's laid?

How long do I wait before I grout?

Thanks guys, I appreciate your help.

1) I normally give it a day to set up, but am not sure it's necessary. The tape can be installed as you go with the tile, but I do it before hand and let it get hard. I've tried it the other way and don't like it, but there's certainly room for argument there.
2) 24 hours
3) As soon as you can walk on the tile. Thinset doesn't dry, it cures and the process will continue, grout or no.
