installing a marble threshold

My husband and I are installing tile in our half bath this weekend. I have finally found a marble threshold but it will not be ready until after we have put the floor down. Should we wait to tile and put the treshold down at the same time or can the threshold be put down later? Also, what do you use to attach the threshold?

Thanks!

how long do I have to wait...

I am tiling a small half bath (20 sq. ft.) We are use speedset to under the backerboard and for the tile. I was told that with this I could grout in 2 hours. How long after I grout should I wait to put the toilet and the pedestal sink in?

Thanks

I would fasten a board to represent the threshold while installing the floor, better cuts/spacing that way. Use the same thinset mortar that you should be using to install the tiles. What are you going over? What type of tile..ceramic, porcelain, stone? What brand and type of thinset do you have?

It's best to put all your question about the same project in one thread, so we can keep up with what's going on.

Unless you simply have to walk on that floor after a few hours, I would NOT recommend using any fast setting mortar or grout. It can be a real pain in the you know where. (and I don't mean head).
