Removing paint from basement floor

Hello...

I am going to tile part of my basement floor right on the concrete. The problem is the floor was painted some time in the past. I have come across this before and rented the big floor sander from HD and it was a big messy job. here is the tricky part on this floor. The paint is not really that adhered to the cement. I can pull duct tape off the floor and the paint comes off. Any ideas if there is an easier way to clean the paint off of the floor?

(easier than renting the big sander and easier than putting duct tape all over the floor too!)

Thanks,
Craig.
