transition from saltillo to ceramic tile

I want to put ceramic floor tile in my downstairs bathroom. The tile I want to install is 1/4" thick and the existing saltillo tile in the hallway where I will abutting with the ceramic tile is 1/2" thick. What is the best way to build up the floor in the bathroom to insure the transition is level? I will be removing old carpet and the concrete floor is in very good shape and level.
thanx

I'm thinking you could lay down some Schluter Ditra which is 1/8" thick in itself, plus the thinset will equal the extra 1/4" you need to make it level.
