Have an unlevel place on floor....

Need to know if I can just use the thin set as is or do I have to level all the floor.
I am tiling my bathroom and already finished 1 and went great. Now I am on the second bath and the is about a 1/16 of an inch rise in the floor. It is only about 4 inches wide and long. Can I just put the thin set and tile down and it will take care of itself? Thank you in advance..

I would consider a 4.5" angle grinder with a masonry grinder disc. Being a bath, it should be fairly easy to contain the mess.

I doubt that 1/16" would present a major problem but you may want to pay special attention to how you layout the room. For example, you may want a grout joint on that high place so as not to have a full tile teetoring across it.

I would lay down some tiles (dry) and play with it and see what works best.

Grinding it would be the better option however.

4" x 4" high spot. Grind it and be done with it. You wont have to worry about how it may affect your layout.

Thank you all for the advice. I think I will grind it. Take care.

As someone previously said , grind it
Or transpose the layout back to the high spot and install starting there using a thin bed of thin set, then switch to a larger trowel and keep going.
Also 1/16 is nothing
