Tiling around toilet

Hello,

I have a quick question about tiling around a toilet. I am installing marble tile over 1 1/4" subfloor and Ditra. I have already installed the Ditra, and would like to do the tile tomorrow. Do I have to cut the mounting holes (two bolts on either side of toilet) before I install the tile, or would I be able to drill w/o cracking w. a masonary bit after everything is installed and cured?

Thanks,

Dan

Wink

I have always have the stool flange at the same level of the tile. The bolts go into the flange and stick up from it

Hi,
You don't have to cut the holes as the toilet flange receives the bolts and the new tile and substrate floor are cut around the flange
