Colored grout question

My sister just bought a house, and most of the house tiled. The grout is a dark brown color. In some areas the grout is a little discolored. Its almost like a yellow color. But when it gets wet, it goes back to the dark brown color. After it dries, it turns to the yellow color again.

Is there something I can do to clean this, and keep it the dark brown color?

In an inconspicuous place, scratch off the top layer of the grout to see if the desired color is below the surface. If the correct color is below, then remove a thin layer of the grout. You could do this with a fine grit sandpaper over something that will fit that size grout joint profile like a small dowl. Take care not to scratch the tile surface.

You can use a grout colorant to give the grout a consistent color throughout. You can make the grout color whatever you want. If the grout was sealed, you'll have to remove the sealer first. There are products for that as well. Grout colorant will color the grout and seal it as well making it a little more stain resistant.

I wonder if maybe someone makes a grout colorant that is applied topically like paint and it wouldn't matter if the previous grout was sealed or not. I'll bet they do.

Where can I find these grout colorants, this gives me an idea for correcting something that has been bothering me for a long time in a bathroom.
