Drilling a hole into a glass mosaic tile - possible?

Hi,

When cutting my 1" x 3" glass mosaic tiles to go nicely around my electrical outlets I forgot to account for the wall pate screw. The decorator style wall plates have a cover screw that is far on the outside. unfortunately, I have now a glass tile below. I leaned the hard way that I need some room for the cover screw (I cracked a glass tile while trying to tighten the cover screw).

Is it possible to drill a small hole into the glass tiles?
Do I need a special drill bit?

There is a specific bit for the purpose known as a "glass and tile drill bit" but sometimes just called a "tile bit".It looks like an arrow.

It is effective on ceramic tile but I have never heard anything one way or another with glass.I'd be very careful and if you have a vsr drill go slow at first until you establish enough of a spot to keep the bit from dancing on the surface.

If the hole needs to be close to the opening edge be extremely careful and have spare tiles available.
