Did i take the pigment out of the grout?

My grout color went from this

to this

I am wondering why this happened and how to easily fix it.

After I installed the grout i waited 20 min. its a sanded grout. I had 6 sponges and i wasnt careful about the joints when wiping up the haze. Either I spread the haze over the joints or the water from cleanup took the pigment out. What do you think?

Probably used too much water. Can you scrap some of the top surface off to see if the color goes all the way through?

I tried scraping some of the top layer off. It doesn't look as light as the very top. It does look lighter than the original color.

Would grout haze remover take off the top layer or is rgis unnecesarry?
Should I just get a grout colorant? Remove the grout and try agian?
