When tiling a bathroom floor, I know to remove the toilet first - but should the tile be cut such that it lies underneath the edge of the toilet base or does it need to be cut such that no tile actually lies underneath the toilet when it is replaced?

I have been laying tile for 12 years and you must tile right up to the toilet flange. Leave about a half inch around the flange. also make sure the tiles under the toilet area are level with each other or the toilet will rock.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the response! Seems like most of the DIY guides skip this little detail.
