Drilling through porcelain tiles

I've got to drill 12 to 16 holes through a fairly heavy porcelain tile(to mount some bathroom fixtures), but I've broken or dulled 5 standard glass and tile bits just getting through the first 2 holes!!! Anyone got a better (and hopefully cheaper) idea?

In our area, the specialty drilling or cutting is a service the tile shops offer to the consumer...if you bought it there, they want your project to be a success....have you asked them?

Tiling over formica countertop

HELLO ALL! I'm giving a facelift to a kitchen that has a formica countertop which is in sound shape, just tired looking. I've found tile to match and complement the existing backsplash. Would love to tile right over the existing countertop before I put in a new sink. Does anyone have reccomendations on how to get good adhesion? Thanks to all.Read More

I recently watched a process on one of those decorator shows where they took a picture and color photocopied it, then transferred that design onto ceramic tile using an iron. I did not write down the process, and how they exactly did it. Can anyone help? Thanks!!Read More
