frost resistant tiles?
#1

I am wondering how important it is to use frost resistant tiles in a sheltered outdoor location on a wall application? They are significantly more expensive.
Thanks,

If the inherent moisture in the tile freezes, there can be problems! You're correct that porcelain is more expensive than traditional ceramic. In larger metro areas, such as Atlanta, there are clearance centers tucked away in industrial parks. Those centers offer porcelains for as little as 99 cents/sq.ft., and trad. ceramics at 49 cents.
I always manage to find those centers, especially when I have a little lattitude with color.
