Question Bath Mats on Heated Tile Floors

I am planning on installing radiant floor heat under tile in our Master Bath. My wife is concerned about the use of floor mats on the heated tile. Is it okay/safe to use cloth floor mats on tile floor with radiant heat underneath?

What about mats with a non-slip backing?

If you are running hydronic heat off of your heating system you should be reducing the temperature to that loop, so not a problem. Basically, any form of heat you install down there should not melt your feet, so your bath mats are safe .

The radiant heat floor is really safe, the only thing that the manufacture (SunTouch) is requesting is not to install it under cabinets, the reason is that the heat can be lock under that area and the temperature can get high.
But for your question it’s completely safe to use cloth floor mats on it.
