ok to steam mop granite kitchen floor?

I have used stone cleaner once a month along with vacuuming every week. Would a steam mop work ok to clean a granite kitchen floor? I hear all these people raving about how great it is to clean a granite countertop with steam so I wanted to check.

Steam all you want. You're safe up to several thousand degrees.
