quick question about taping hardi seams
Do I do that right before tile install so mortar in seams is still wet or can i do it right after hardi install and let dry before I tile?

Not sure if I would agree with Mitch, but it's acceptable either way.
If you thinset the seams and let it set, you have a higher chance of there being a "high" spot on those seams and you will spend alot of time making it flat.
I always tape and thinset the seams as I tile.
Your choice.

Either way is fine, it'll dry. I used to tape when I installed the board time permitting. I've seen some people use a 3" putty knife to apply thin set for the tape and make a mess of a simple procedure. I use a 6" flexible blade and apply a fair amount of pressure. I've never created a speed bump.
The only problem with taping as you set tiles is that the trowel can disturb the freshly laid tape or cause wrinkles. But it's fairly easy corrected.
