Is the grout bad?

I know that thinset shouldn't be left around, opened for long at all or else it will start to react with the moisture in the air and "go bad". Is the same true for grout?
I got a bag of TEC grout from the tile store the other week, put it in the garage and when I went to use it the other day, the top 2" was rock hard. Just got another bag from the store today and when I got home and put it inside the house hoping to not have a repeat of bag #1 and it felt like there were clumps in it (I didn't open it). Is this normal, should I stay away from it or is it ok to use?
Thanks!
Suzi

I wouldn't bet my multi$ tile job on the off chance the bag was bad. $13, I'd chunk it. It had moisture in it as you observed. It's just a gamble thing.

Thanks Chandler! Since I know the second bag came that way, I'm going to take up the issue with the tile store.

HotinOKC: It's TEC.
