Ceramic Tiles
#1

I have an existing tile on my bathroom floor and after
doing some home repairs I increased the size of my
bathroom. Question: I need to add some more tiles to
the floor but I can't seem to locate the tile anywhere.
What is the best way to locate a hard to find floor tile?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Vince,
If you know the name of the tile and the maufacturer, you can post a request various places on the Internet. Here are a couple.
http://www.infotile.com.au/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/Ultimate.cgi

If you can't identify the tile, you're in deep you know what.

Vince,
There's a possibility you can go over the old tile with new ones. You'd have to build up the new area to the same level. I'd need more info if you're interested. And Rich will be around with some ideas, too.

Hi Vince,
Jeepers I feel useless this morning this is two posts in a row that I can't think of anything else to add. Other than If you do decide to re-tile the area It's much easier to tile over the existing than tear out the old and start over.
Depending on how wide the area is and where it is you may be able to put an insert of another tile or a border. Other than that I'm drawing a blank. Sorry I could not be of more help.

John/Rich Thanks
John and Rich:
Thanks for your inputs. I checked out the tile and the only thing I found was that it was made in the USA and it's size. Not much help. You guys have given me a few other idea's with your suggestions. The added area is about a 12 sq. feet and I have some old tile's I could fill with, this would allow me to tile over the old floor. My other option would be to take out some tile's around the edge and boarder with a different tile. Again thank's guys for your idea's.
