What is gypsum cement, concrete, mortar??

The shower pan I'm installing says to lay it in a bed of gypsum cement. What the heck is gypsum cement? I can't find it anywhere!

You're just not looking in the right places. Fairly common stuff. I use mason's mortar but I'm not a bathroom pro.

Yeah, I came across that website, but was a little thrown off since it seems to be for sculpturing. Aparently I can use it for setting a shower pan as well I'll look at HD to see if they have it (doubt it). Otherwise, I guess I'll be using thinset (modified so it sticks to the plastic shower pan, right??). Also says panel/floor adhesive would work as well.

I don't think you should use thinset. IIRC one of the tile pros here recommended not using it to bed a tub because it shrinks when it cures. I suggest using mason's mortar instead.

That's what I'll be doing at this point. Sand/cement mix, just like the bathtub. Thanks.
