ceramic floor tiles

after i have put down tiles...what do i do if a couple have a 'hollow' sound or the edges move slightly..can i fix this?

Hello Les,

If you only have hollow areas toward the middle of the tiles and the areas don't comprise more than about 20 percent of the tile, you'll usually be okay. If a good portion of the tile sounds hollow, though, remove the piece and replace it.

If you can detect any movement at all, it's too much. Remove the piece and replace it.

In general, ceramic tiles must be set rock solid, or you'll have nothing but problems down the road.
