Dry time for thinset under hardi and thinset on seams...
Can I install the hardi, tape and mortar the seams, and lay the tile all in one go? Does the thinset under the hardi need to dry before tile goes down? Does the thinset on the seams need to dry before the tile goes down?
thank you

By the time you finish taping, the thinset will probably be dry anyway, as it is only a skim type coat anyway. Let the thinset dry as Vic stated before you put weight or tile on it.

I think the OP was wondering about the thinset "under" the cbu.
Spread thin set - fasten boards - mix more thin set for tiles - (a bit thicker) install tiles taping seams as you go. Or if it's a larger job you can tape then set tiles next day, or if you're worried about creating speed-bumps tape the next day too.
