Coloring white grout (dry)

I got some free white grout. I thought it was gray, but now that I have it, can you get a colorant for dry grout to make it a different color before you mix it? Thanks!

Yes they make powdered colorants, used to be the only way to get colored grout. Your best bet is a builder's supply place, the ones that sell sand and stone etc. Generally used for colored concrete work.

How old is this free grout? Actually the date it was made and how it's been stored is the question.
