Floor for both interior and exterior use?

Is there a stone that can be used for both interior and exterior? If so, are there any draw backs for this type of application?

Marble and slate are the first two that come to mind. Marble will take a lot of maintenance to keep it looking good while slate will initially flake for a period of time after its application. I've had success using glazed porcelain tile in this situation. But you want to use a tile specifically for floors. Of course your exterior subfloor would have to be concrete. I wouldn't try putting any type of stone or tile on an exterior plywood subfloor.
