Will a sub floor work?

My basement bathroom is concrete. In a few areas where the pipes are running there is some rough areas where the concrete is not smooth. If I use a sub floor, do I need to repair the concrete areas that are uneven?

See pictures,

Thanks!

What flooring do you intend to put down in this room?

I have not really committed to any type of flooring yet, leaving my options open.

Personally, I'd be leaning toward ceramic, which would probably not require any work to the concrete.

Wood and concrete in direct contact are not friends. If need be, I would float the irregular areas with Self Leveling Compound. I, too, would lean toward ceramic tile as opposed to carpet or wood.

Bathrooms need ceramic tiles which go directly on the concrete. Of course you'll need to make the concrete flat first.
