Is there a way to polish the edge of a 12 inch marble square.

Of course, there is a way. I would recommend though that you take it to a marble shop and give them the ten bucks or so.

We have ceramic tile in our bathroom that we want to change. The floor is solid and we realize that we can place ceramic tile over it. Our questions are as follows: The old tile is glossy, should we sand it first for better adhesion? and Should we use a thinset over it to make the the grout lines level with the tiles? Thanks much

cracks in grout

This past summer we had two bathrooms renovated by contractors. Shortly after they grouted the shower and floor tiles (with sand grout), we noticed fine cracks where two walls of tiles meet (such as the shower stall) or around the edges on the floor. The grout has come off in certain areas around the shower. What is the cause and what can we do? Thank you.
