Thumbs up yes..... but it depends

You can definetly put marble in a shower, but it depends on what you use and how it is finished. i think marble is one of the best materials to use. I found some for a good price at http://www.thebellacollection.com. Where did you find yours? What kind are you planning to use?

Cool

Hi Ken,
Of course you can use Marble in a shower enclosure. Keep in mind that installing a marble enclosure is really left to a professional installer. Get some estimates from some local reputable contractors first, Then go and see some of their work. Again Marble installation is a whole different ballgame than ceramic tile.
Good Luck,

Thumbs up

Yes, you can use marble in a shower. Just keep in mind that if you install polished marble it will be very slippery. I would suggest using a tumbled marble or a marble or limestone with a honed finish. These types of finishes will be more skid resistant. Whichever finish you decide to go with it is essential that you seal the stone properly. I would suggest using an impregnating sealer. This will not change the appearance of the stone but will keep moisture from absorbing into the stone and will also be easier to clean. Good luck!

An opinion. Marble is a very poor choice for a shower. It is nearly impossible to clean and maintain.

Yeah, it's a long one. Just click it. Again, this is only an opinion.
