Asbestos Tiles in basement
If I have asbestos tiles in the basement or the possibility, and the tiles are lifting off on there own due to age and water, will lifting them off endanger me or my family. I can literally just take them up. Photos attached. Thanks.

Ya, as long as there isn't dust to get airborne for you to breathe the danger is minimal. 40+ yrs ago I sprayed a good bit of asbestos texture along with applying lead based paint and my lungs are good ..... but it was all wet when applied
As long as you keep it damp during the removal process, bag up the debris and mop when done - you and yours should be fine.

Those are asphalt tiles which contain asbestos, but they are not dangerous unless you grind/sand them and breathe the dust. Even then there's controversy on how many years it might take to affect you. But why take chances?
What's the plan after you remove these old tiles?
