Where to buy a smallish stone type of granite for a shower bench?

I've tried a few big box places like Ikea, Home Depot, Lowe's, and even some smaller places that sell granite countertops. The problem is that all of these places only sell a minimum amount of stone of around approx ~15 feet or so. I really only need about 3 feet of stone so I can make a shower bench seat.

Try a stone yard that sells bricks, cement & other masonry products.

Check local granite fabricators for scraps. Cutting and polishing the piece requires special tools, they might do that for you also at a minimum cost.
It would help to go in with all the info such as dimensions, finished edges required, or even a template of the area if you need a perfect fit in an odd location.

Go to a tile distributor, most mosaic sheets are ordered by the each and there should be a fairly good selection to choose from. River Rocks are the most common. One sheet is approx. 1 square foot.
