Better cuts for subway tile mosaic?

Is there a better way to cut these subway tiles to get a smooth edge?
Im using a water saw with a 7inch dewalt diamond blade. Even going really slow i get rough edges and a lot of nipped edges. Normally I do not care as these will be hidden but in the case of a mosaic it is front and center.

I always use a score and snap cutter where possible because the cuts are usually smoother. When necessary I cleaned the edge with a knife sharpening stone.

How old/new is the blade? I have a cheap tile saw [w/cheap blade] and while it cut beautifully on the first tile job, halfway thru the 2nd job the cuts weren't as clean
