Anyone know what this strip is called?

I need to replace mine since the original owner cut short of fully reach the other strip.

It's a tile transition strip. Here's a similar product that might work for you:

Thanks! Awesome, I'll take a look a our local hardware store.

By the way, do I slide it from one end to the other or can I just lightly tap it down from the top?

Usually they push in from the top once you have installed the little mounting track. Hopefully you will be able to find a piece that will work with your existing track; that will make it easy to swap out the top.

Is it made out of rubber? A flooring supply house (not box store) usually carries a wide variety of transition strips tha would match what you have. See if you can find a profile match here: Johnsonite > Wall Base, Finishes & Accessories > Finishing Accessories
