Question

i will be tiling under the toilet in the bathroom. How do i handle the toilet, and the eventual raise in height of the floor. do i need an extention to the plumbing?

Your toilet has a flange that holds it to the floor and a wak ring that seals it to the flange. Just clean off and replace the wax ring (with plastic ring as well). Your re-seated toilet will seal fine.

Short of doing some serious plumbing, we have two tricks in our bag: Use two wax rings stacked together, or go to Home Depot and buy the thick wax ring called an "extender."
